Anyone looking for a shorter (Mini-Gap) surf travel experience. It combines focused surf coaching with involvement in local community projects whilst exploring some of the best surf spots along the South African coastline.

This project would suit anyone who has some maintenance, or handyman, or DIY skills and the enthusiasm and confidence to use your own initiative. Anyone looking to experience real South African culture whilst also helping this incredible wildlife sanctuary charity.

What’s not included: Flights, Insurance, Cost of Visas (if a visa is required, but we'll provide necessary documents and assistance), Return transfer to airport. You also need to budget for spending money for weekend travelling, sightseeing and beer!

This project is available all year round and you choose your own duration from 2 weeks to 6 months as you wish. Additional weeks over 12 weeks are at £120 per week.

60% of cost spent in-country with an additional donation made to projects of your choice. Includes microlight flight over reserve, day safari in Kruger national park, 4x4 driving lessons.

This placement would suit:

those who want to make a long lasting difference to the orphaned children of Malawi. Quest support their projects like no one else and select volunteers carefully so that they get the most out of their experience. Working with kids and building is hard work, you have been warned!

Duration details:

Spend 6 weeks working and living alongside the rural community of Pensulo. Work with orphaned children and then experience an incredible 6 week expedition from Malawi to Durban.

This placement would suit:

This placement would suit someone who wants to live, breathe and eat cricket (and can play the game to a reasonable standard), expand their cricketing knowledge and skills, and who is also interested in helping local children to develop through sport.

Cost details:

Costs vary depending on how long you want to stay for. Prices start from £795 for 2 weeks and include food and accommodation, 24/7 support and backup before you go and throughout your placement, as well as meeting you at the nearest airport. When you're on your placement, if you'd like to extend your time, you can do so at £110 per additional week.

This placement can be extended for any length of time (many of our volunteers do!), subject to availability and any visa restrictions that may apply.
