Product Details

Based in a beautiful region of North India, the Himachal Pradesh volunteer programme is an excellent placement if you wish to work and travel India, discovering regions often overlooked by other backpackers.

You can volunteer in India on a number of different community projects including education, orphanages and childcare. With each of these community volunteer placements, you will be able to work with and help under-privileged children.

The support system we have in place ensures that your volunteer placement is interesting and varied as well as using your skills to the communities' best advantage. International volunteers have made a direct impact on the region and the work with the Indian communities has benefited many disadvantaged people.

Project Location

Starting with an overnight stay in Delhi, the group spends 3 days in Jaipur for orientation and sightseeing. Then you all board an overnight train for Palamphur which is a quaint town set high in the mountains. You will be based here for the majority of the programme.

Accommodation & Meals

Accommodation and meals are included. You will stay in a large stone house overlooking a stunning landscape dominated by glaciers and peaks of the Himalayan mountains. The food is amazing and there is plenty of it!
