The children at the centre have not had the best start in life and can sometimes be demanding for your time and attention so you will need to be patient and understanding. You will be working with a large age range so bring some imaginative ideas in order to keep everyone amused! Experience with children will be highly valued but is not required. .

For the competitive traveller this is the chance to tick off a surprisingly high number of Southern Africa’s must-see destinations. The dramatic waterways of the Okavango Delta offer breathtaking wildlife experiences. Chobe National Park in Botswana boasts Africa’s highes elephant population, which you will have the chance to experience by langurous boat cruise on the Chobe River. The Victoira Falls is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, and our volunteer experience in Livingstone will give you the chance to contribute to their educational heritage.

The children you are working with can be overly active and easily distracted so make sure you have plenty of patience and tolerance! These children need help with building social skills and confidence so the ability to use your imagination to create tasks that will engage and entertain will benefit them greatly.
