Work as an fine arts counselor on an American summer campHave you got a flair for art? Are you at your happiest when you've got a paintbrush in your hand? Then we need people just like you to work as fine arts counselors in kids' camps around the US. You should be confident and enthusiastic with a good imagination and a desire to teach children of various ages how to express themselves through art. A knowledge of art history would be an advantage. Counselors should expect to help to run fine arts workshops throughout the day and to be responsible for the safety of children in their care. If this sounds like your idea of a good summer, read on...
Have the perfect summer...
We pride ourselves on giving you the perfect placement, as you choose exactly what style of camp you would like to work at - we work with eight different types. You also choose exactly what age group to work with, and what type of job you want to do - either Specialist or General. Then our fantastic team in the USA will match you up with the perfect camp.
You must be available for nine weeks, starting anytime between mid May and late June.
Once camp has finished, you’ll have time on your visa to travel around America, and plenty of new friends to do it with!
Our users say..."The majority of my memories are of my fellow counsellors and friends at camp; of the pranks we pulled, of going to Walmart in our camp clothes covered with dirt from the campfire and not caring one bit, of the three tornadoes we sat through and the friendship bracelets we carried on making long after the kids had gone. That’s the thing about camp, everyone’s in the same boat, and there's a great sense of togetherness" - Laura Jones.
Qualifications requiredIf you are interested in working with children, then this is definitely for you! Please don't worry if you do not have any experience or qualifications (even better if you do), as full training will be given. As long as you are outgoing, patient, have loads of energy, enjoy working with children, and think you can make a child's summer the best ever, then you are a perfect candidate!
