Lake Louise - the resort
"The Jewel of the Rockies", the majestic beauty of Lake Louise is awe inspiring. Located within the protected wilderness and spectacular scenery of Banff National Park, Lake Louise is a world class ski resort with a phenomenal reputation for its first rate amenities and wonderful dry powder snow. The vast ski area features infinite and varied terrain and has consistently been voted number one for scenery in North America by Skiing Magazine.
The courses
You will have approximately 20 hours per week of quality instruction provided through Lake Louise Ski & Snowboard School, and you will also have plenty of spare time to yourself to enjoy the mountains. You will be taught in small groups of up to 8 people per instructor. Not only will you see a vast improvement in your own technique, you will also be given the tools to become an effective teacher and share your expertise with others. Our courses will provide you with an insight into the service side of the industry, how ski and snowboard schools function, plan lessons, and you will also get to shadow instructors. To complement the instruction, a first aid course, recreational avalanche course, and ski/snowboard tuning clinics are also included.Accommodation - Best Western Siding 29 Lodge
The Best Western Siding 29 Lodge offers good standard hotel accommodation and is conveniently located just off Banff Avenue, within easy walking distance of lively downtown Banff. The spacious rooms include two queen size beds, en suite bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities, colour television, phone and safe. Amenities include free use of an indoor swimming pool and whirlpool.
Food arrangements:
A hot breakfast buffet will be served at the Best Western Siding 29 Lodge every day. Weekday evening meals will be provided at a variety of different restaurants in Banff - offering you a great selection of Canadian, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese and Greek cuisine.
Banff - The town
This town is situated in the middle of the world famous Banff National Park. Echoes of natives, explorers and fur traders can be heard in the middle of the magnificent Rocky Mountains of Canada. That is the spirit of this little town. Today’s Banff, although historical, grew with the pace of the new world. The spectacular ski resorts of Lake Louise, Sunshine Village and Norquay add to all that’s offered on Banff’s main street. Enjoy the famous champagne powder and complete your day with a refreshing Canadian beer and lush food platters which emulate the size of its surroundings. This is a proper ski town!

The CSIA Level 1 certification will enable you to teach beginners and early intermediates in Canada or North America. The CSIA Level 2 allows you to teach at an intermediate level, and this level of certification can see you working in different countries around the world (including Australia or New Zealand over the Summer).
