Espace Killy
Val d'Isere has long been France’s most popular ski resort, and with good reason: the Espace Killy offers 11, 000 hectares of snow fields and 300km of groomed runs with its direct connection to snow-sure Tignes. The back-country terrain that is accessible from lift-serviced pistes is out of this world, giving access each season to the 6 and 10 meters of snow falling each winter!
Val d’Isere Town
Val d’Isere is practically perfect. Not only does it have brilliant mountains, but the town itself is cosmopolitan, relaxed and vibrant. Located 3 hours from Geneva, Val d’Isere attracts Europeans from across the continent. There is a wide variety of entertainment facilities and activities, and a great mix of people to meet from all backgrounds all of whom are there to enjoy the area both on and off hill.Accommodation
- Central apartments, only 2 minutes walk to the centre of town and the lifts.
- Upgrades available to single and double rooms, or have an apartment to yourself.
Our Coaches
- French & British coaching offering an open-minded international approach to snowsports
- Includes ski school experience, tactical and psychological sessions, freeride and freestyle
- 5 full days per week with 1-to-1 coaching, video analysis and formal feedback reports.
- That's over 300 hours training on an 11 week course, 5 times more than a BASI Gap course as it includes 6 weeks that are predominantly shadowing.

Rebecca Ramsay, Age: 24, Course: Val d'Isere 2006'Having already completed a winter season working as a chalet girl, I knew I definitely wanted to spend another season in the snow but I also wanted to get a qualification out of it. The Base Camp prospectus offered the ski instructor qualification but with an emphasis on fun too.
>There were 30 of us on the course. Our meals were in a restaurant / bar and most of us stayed on after dinner to catch ‘happy hour - the nightlife in Val is good. The bars around town always have theme nights so there was always an excuse to go out! And even better, most bars offer discounts for anyone doing the Base Camp course.
Staying in Val for the season we also got to know some of the seasonnaires working out there. Everyone on the course was up for a good time both on and off the slopes.'
